The Lord of the Rings
Wonderful White Movies
My wife, Sigrid, and I just rented the first two films of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (99 cents each at Blockbuster), to watch with our 6-year-old as wonderful White family fare. Buying these movies is an even better idea, I think. They are among the best movies of purely White sensibility.
It's been about four years since I watched these three magnificent movies. They are magnificent in having so well captured as much as possible of J.R.R. Tolkien's White genius for the ancient sense of our folk as a precious thread stretching far back before memory.
We are taking these thankfully-long three movies in installments that a child of six can absorb.
Please share your experiences in viewing the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
And, why not share your thoughts on your reading of J.R.R. Tolkien's original books?
